The Red Lion has been featured in numerous films and TV series, probably the most famous being “All Creatures Great And Small” starring Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Peter Davidson and Carol Drinkwater. This filming took place from 1977 to 1991 and the inside as well as the outside of the Red Lion was used in several episodes. Other films were “ A Woman of Substance” and the sequal “Hold The Dream” starring Deborah Kerr, Jenny Seagrove, Nigel Havers and Paul Daneman. “Escape From The Dark” starring Maurice Coleman, Alistair Sim.
